Headaches and dizziness aren’t fun!
DIZZINESS & VERTIGO
Has your dizziness been impacting your daily life? Do You Want to Get Rid of Those “Spins”?
If you experience symptoms like dizziness, fear of falling, trouble concentrating, blurry vision, difficulty standing straight, or “tunnel vision” where your surroundings go dark for a few seconds, you may be dealing with a common condition. While dizziness can have various causes, vertigo is a more specific issue, often linked to a physical imbalance in the body.
People with vertigo often describe it as feeling like they are “spinning” or “slowing down,” even when sitting still. This sensation can make simple tasks difficult and affect your day-to-day life.
How can we help?
At Trinity Rehab & Wellness, we offer effective treatment for dizziness and vertigo by multidisciplinary approach under Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Massage & Acupuncture Treatments and Therapies.
Our team specializes in rehabilitation, which includes exercises such as the Epley maneuver and Cawthorne head exercises. These techniques help reduce symptoms and improve balance by addressing the root cause of vertigo.
What Causes Vertigo?
Vertigo is often linked to an imbalance in the inner ear, also known as the vestibular system. This system helps maintain your balance and sends important signals to the brain about your body’s movement. When this system is disrupted, your brain struggles to process the necessary signals, leading to dizziness and a lack of coordination.
You might experience symptoms like the world “spinning” around you, trouble focusing your eyes, or difficulty standing and moving without feeling off-balance.
Common Causes of Vertigo and Dizziness:
- Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)
- Migraines
- Vestibular neuritis
- Meniere’s disease
Symptoms of Vertigo:
- Irregular eye movements
- Sweating
- Weakness in the limbs
- Difficulty concentrating or staying awake
- Blurred or double vision
- Nausea or vomiting
What’s Causing My Dizziness?
Dizziness can have many triggers, such as sleep deprivation, poor nutrition, or underlying physical conditions like the common cold or flu. Sometimes, it can be as simple as standing up too quickly after lying down for a while. Symptoms of dizziness can include:
- Loss of balance
- Feeling lightheaded or faint
- Temporary vision impairment (e.g., tunnel vision)
- Feeling either heavy-headed or lightheaded
